Our charming 2-story cottage, built in 2005, sits in the middle of 38 acres of vineyard and farmland adjacent to the Hickory Creek Winery. The winemaker and owner offers this cottage solely for vacation and weekend rentals. Enjoy 360 degree views of rolling landscape while deer and pheasants bound through the fields. Evenings at the Hickory House are tranquil, with only the sounds of chirping crickets and frogs heard from the sunset facing deck off the west side of the house. On clear nights, stars abound thanks to our secluded location away from big city lights.
The property is one of the more alluring accommodations in Michigan Wine Country. The house was built in 2005 by an Australian who patterned it after his country's traditional Victorian Farmhouse. It features wide-plank wood floors, large windows, and interesting details throughout. From the house, you will see vineyards, hayfields, distant rolling hills, and a picturesque pond and wetland west of the property.
Two bedrooms are upstairs, one featuring a king bed, the other featuring a queen size sofa bed pullout. Full bathroom and shower upstairs and half bathroom on the main floor. Full sized kitchen fully equipped with dishes and cookware. Dish Network is provided, however there is no wifi on the property. Children are most welcome, as are your dogs.
